We provide a variety of care to our individuals at Vicarage Road who have different mental health needs. We support them in a person-centred way and provide effective support. We make sure that the home is in a low stimulus environment and that all our service users feel safe and supported by our staff team so when they need to talk about their mental health they are able to. We promote independence with all of our service users, encouraging them to complete daily living skills as independently as possible.
Vicarage Road is a very homely home, and as soon as you walk through the door you feel at ease. Service User rooms are decorated exactly how they like it to make them feel as comfortable as possible in their environment. We cater for individual needs and interests to always support our service users in a person centred way. There is lots of dancing, singing and laughter within this home, making it a friendly and fun place to live.
Our staff are dedicated to the individualised support that we offer for each of our service users. We have staff on site 24 hours a day. All of our staff have up to date specialised training and everyone one of them is passionate about the care they provide. Our staff are dedicated to supporting each service user with the upmost dignity and respect.
Maintaining individual’s independence is the most important thing to the staff. We hold regular Service user meetings so their thoughts and feelings can be brought across, and staff can understand what they would like changed/what they really like within the home they live in. We create personalised support plans for all our service users, and they are encouraged to be actively involved with all decisions about their care. Getting to know our residents' hobbies and what they enjoy doing goes into our activity planning which includes trips out, games, events, arts, crafts and much more.
